As usual not only well-known domestic athletes will participate in this event, but also athletes from abroad, who will find out the strongest after boxing, kickboxing and MMA drains. "Giant fights" is the oldest combat sports series in Latvia, which is organized every year in November during the holiday week. The beginnings of this fight show can be traced back to 2009, when it went to the audience with another one name, but starting from 2012 this event is known as "Battles of the Giants". "This year is very special for us. "Battle of the Giants" is celebrating its ten year anniversary! In my opinion, we are the oldest professional combat sport in existence series in Latvia. Yes, the history of this event dates back to before the 14th century years, but for a long time we could not find our identity and the show every year we changed the name until 2012 when this annual fight show was decided be called "Battles of the Giants". Apart from the two-year break due to Covid-19 due to the pandemic, our event has been going on for 10 years without a break," on Artūrs, the head of the sports club "Tukuma Brāli", reviewed the history of the event Eisak. This year, the main or central fight of the "Battle of the Giants" evening will be between a Norwegian MMA sports star Aleksander Jakobsen and former Latvian champion Robert Skujiņu, who once gained wider recognition by defeating former UFC and Bellator fighter Galore Bofando. Both were scheduled to fight already in 2016, but this duel did not happen destined to happen as Jakobsen signed a contract with Europe's biggest MMA "Cage Warriors" organization, while Skujiņš joined the Germany-based organization for the organization "Superior FC". Seven years have passed and finally this match will happen. Participation in the event has also been confirmed by others known in Latvia and beyond its borders athletes such as Kristaps Zutis, Agnese Boža, Artūrs Leisāns, Rasmus Elers (Denmark), Artūrs Skabarnieks and others.
